SDI has the potential to eventually get out of control. It all depends as to how much autonomy AI will have over it.

As apartments continue to get smaller, they still might be considered spacious when compared to what's in a pod hotel.
Apartments with less than 400 sq. ft. (WTH?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejPOLhfBpy8 This is like a hotel room, a college dorm or a damn hamster cage! At a certain point, if ones living-space just becomes a sensory pod, then the MATRIX pod situation is just a step away.
While this might be OK for a single person, there should still be extra space for a separate bedroom. A kitchen-dining area as well as a proper living room. Thus, anything under 600 sq. ft. just isn't a proper 1 bedroom apartment. 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are essential for families. 4 and 5 bedroom apartments for larger families, but that gets more costly in several ways.

As AI gradually removes more jobs from people, some control-freaks might resort to implementing draconian social control measures over the disgruntled masses.

Of course Sam would want to continue to work with the robotic theme.

The BSG Update from Sam Esmail.
There was the WestWorld movie in 1973. Then people got to first see the STAR WARS Droids in 1977, but the Battlestar_Galactica_(1978_TV_series) was about humans on Battlestar_Galactica and other ships being pursued by malevolent robots. Now Sam Esmail will provide his own interesting take on the A.I. theme.
